Clarissa is a welcoming Todd County community shaped by agriculture, local businesses, longtime residents, and a strong tradition of neighbors working together.
Welcome to Clarissa
A Community Built With
Purpose and Pride.
Clarissa began taking shape in the late 1800s as settlers, businesses, and transportation routes helped establish a new community in Eagle Valley Township. The townsite was platted in the 1870s, a post office followed in 1880, and Clarissa was officially incorporated in 1897.
Over the generations, agriculture, local commerce, schools, churches, civic organizations, and community gathering places have helped shape Clarissa into the community it is today.
